Humming birds

Humming birds

In order to capture humming birds in flight and freeze thier beating wings so they don't look like a blur, the shutter speed needs to be at least1/1600 of a second. This photo was shot at  1/2000 of a second and because it was shot in the shade adjustments had to be made in raw.

  1. This is really good! If you really want to freeze action( i know this may not apply to you since you can't change lenses on your camera) But try to get a lens with an aperture of like f1.2-f2 because with an aperture like that, more light is going to hit the sensor, so it will allow for faster shutter speeds. Also, if you want to make adjustments in a raw image program, if you can, try shooting in raw format(which I am guessing you did) btw this your nephew
